I didn't write those. I guess the good news is that you are here and alive to weather the strifes in life, eh. Depends on how you see things.

There is always good news in your life. Just sometimes, not the good news we want to hear though. I heard this thing on tv the other nite, let me see, if I can remember it,

I really liked it, and I wrote it down on something, but, you should see the "somethings" it could be on, lol.

....

looking...

while still looking, it goes something like this:

if you are preoccupied with a problem in your life, to help someone with a problem which is bigger than yours.

... there is another part which addresses, if you lost or can't find the reason for things anymore...

(can't remember that part of what to do)

I think, it goes like... if you lost or can't find the reason for things anymore because people or things have left you down...

(now that is all I can remember)

back to looking...

The dog ate it. I can't find it. I wish I could. It basically was saying, that happier times are ahead. I want to believe that they are for our country, our people, ourselves and our lives.

I will check the net for that saying.

Well, be careful with comparisons. Poor means you have an Ipad OR a 52" flat screen, but not BOTH.
You have Air Jordan sneakers OR a gucci purse, but not both. If you don't have a cell phone, you are not poor...you are DEAD.

There was a time when "poor" meant something different.

Here poor is still poor. Soup kitchens, collecting clothes for women's shelters & women entering back into the work force, drive past any one of our bridges and look under... you will see the poor

Here is some good news:

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203441704577068670488306242.html - the Us is becoming a net EXPORTER of fuels.

http://www.newgeography.com/content/002265-usa-a-net-exporter-natural-gas - We are set for life with cheap natural gas and will soon be an exporter. Also Shale gas contains rare ethylene, the precursor of most plastics, which means we are set to become the lowest cost producers of plastic on earth.

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_country_has_the_largest_manufacturing_industry_in_the_world - contrary to all the crap in the dollar stores, America remains hands down the largest country for manufacturing. China is getting close, but no one else is even near.

Finally we have vast amounts of open space in the west and even the east, trees enough for 500 japans, 2 new rare earth mines to rival the worlds best, and the most bombs on earth. And if the enviro-imbeciles let the pipeline to canada get built, We'll be set to win the next war without any mid east oil.

Finally, we have the best navy and airforce on earth, and could instantly shut off the flow of anything into those mid east nations. Let them drink oil.

Visit India, Russia and backwater China if you doubt your blessings. And the homeless there don't even have nice overpasses to live under. By the way cookie, Bill gates could buy Detroit with pocket change and move all of Americas homeless there tommorrow. Lets not forget that 80% of the homeless are mentally ill, and not capable of functioning in our 'normal' society.

You missed it with down and out cities: MERCED ca. is the worst due to speculation for a new university pre crash. Auctions for 600 houses at a shot going on now.

I built my first house on 12 monster pine tree acres with wood, appliances and fittings from 'curbside' pickup nights. The land cost me 12,000$ and I later split it and sold the other half for $45,000. Try that in India or North Korea.

finally, god has always come through and blessed us with a world war or virus from time to time, and that will bring back the better times with less teeming masses to extinguish all mammals. If human population continues to increase, our zoo's will have only ants in them.

Hope I get a chair when the music runs out.

Now, here is another good thing. I just put gas in the car to ride people around in it, and did it at 3.19 a gallon for regular unleaded! Wahoo! Down from almost 4.

That might be a yahoo moment, but cheap gas will kill our wind turbines, solar panels and hybrid cars. Delicate balance. If Ian were alive, he would tell you more.
