I am adding a bathroom to my basement. I am using a Saniflo system with maceration pump. A vent is required from the pump, sink and shower. Problem is I have no place to tap into the roof vent that feeds the plumbing upstairs. Can this vent be ran to an outside wall? Does it have to vent through the roof?

WI Plumbing code does not allow venting through a side wall unless you get a waiver, which is unheard of to my knowledge.

I've never seen a house that could not have a vent run from the basement through the roof. It is an easy job in a single story home, and only a little more challenging in a two-story depending on the layout.

Hey, wait a minute.

This is awkward, but...
