    Default Gauge is sideways??

I am preparing to move into a house. The gauge on the pump is running out sideways instead of upright. Will that affect it functioning properly? I can't seem to get the pressure to set right and the pump wants to run constantly. I have recently torn out 2 ceilings because of major leaks and repaired those and now I am leak free.

Gauge can be oriented in any direction and is not a factor of the pump running.

If its running constantly I would guess your pressure switch is faulty. If it runs when you use water its your pressure tank.
