Hi to all, a great forum this really is. I am planning my new plumbing/ drain installation. I want everything to be well vented. It is two back to back 3 piece bathrooms. Is it possible to have too much venting ??? Sorry if it is a dumb question. Thanks

It is NOT possible to "overvent", although if you DO do it and use "vents" which are merely cosmetic, there is a very good possibility that you could "undervent" some areas, because it would mean you are completely clueless when it comes to vents. A vertical pipe connected to a drain line is NOT necessarily a vent.

Not necessarily. If it is like the IPC, they have to rewrite it every time someone comes up with a "shortcut" to save additional money on their plumbing jobs.
