The cut out double top plate doesn't bother me much, I've seen MUCH worse...

But get yourself a chainsaw to replace most of all sawzall work. And I would cut that copper out and sell it quick.

You know, I thought about that with copper as high as it is, but i did not want to fir out the studs to fit a 3 inch PVC in there. Too late now, its all re sheet rocked and spackled Maybe in another 40 years.
