any incentives to upgrade hvac system?

My HVAC system is insufficient (understatement) for my home. Is there any incentives, rebates ect from the gov to assist in the costs of upgrading to a more efficient HVAC system?

It is going to happen regardless, just looking for a handout

Yes. These energy rebate programs are managed by your local energy utility company. Programs vary, and the money varies from time to time. Around here, all the rebate programs tend to run out of money occasionally, and then the rebates are not available for a few months until uncle sugar approriates some more money.

The dealers of the product you are looking at, whether it be appliances, windows, water heaters, or HVAC are usually well versed in the programs and are an easy starting point.
