Aluminum or Zinc particles from degrading non-magnesium anodes can find their way into the cold water side ( ie. drinking water ) if any cross connections or faulty mixer catridges or re-circulation systems are present. This subject was raised elsewhere, but no satisfactory responses were posted, and the mfrs, as usual, remain silent on an issue that might possibly be causing harm to people.
This is not scaremongering given that there are well reported instances of plumbers and householders dealing with the blockage nuisance of anode disintergration. Perhaps there are views on this forum?
