We are having new granite countertops put in with new stainless sink. We were thinking about putting in a soap dispenser into the sink, but heard if the pump breaks ..it's hard to find replacements???

Any suggestions??/

Thanks

Buy a quality pump! The hole size required is often fairly standard, so if worse comes to worse, you could replace the whole thing. I've got three Grohe units that are now between 5-10 years old (two different remodels) that are still going strong. The pump head is (or at least was) solid chromed brass, not plastic (although the guts are plastic).

Almost all of the dispensers use a "generic" pump. About the only difference is what the "handle" looks like and that is usually interchangeable on the pump.
