Gap at Tile/Tub

I just had tile put in my tub/shower enclosure by a tile person. I agreed to put in the grout and the caulk. There is a 1/8" gap between the tile and the tub on the back wall but on the side walls, the tile comes all the way down to the tub. I know 1/8" gap is standard. Can I hear some opinions if having no gap will be a problem or if it will be, how do I cut a gap without ruining the tile? I want to make my decision before I start the grout. Thank you.

Tried to do a photo. 800 pixels is too small to see.

But it is 4X4 Daltile - sitting right on the tub. I also noticed that at the vertical corners, some tile have a gap between them and some are butted up right next to each other with no room for grout.

Any ideas.

In the past we used to caulk where tub meets tile and in the corners and not grout even if there were gaps from
one wall to the other.There are caulks made for this application.

Grout is a poor filler around the tub. It does NOT bond to the bathtub, and thus can create cracks. Use a good caulking material, "tub and tile adhesive" caulking is a good one.
