By the way, if you want to see *big hair* watch the movie Shampoo... I was watching it, thinking that, skinny little women and HUGE hair, kind of funny.
I have not turned American.
There are things in the Oath of Allegiance that I could not stomach.
Line 1, for example, "I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince.."
Er, no.
Shall we go word-by-word?
"..potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen..."
Er, still no.
"...that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies..."
Not unless you ban guns.
"...that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law..."
Didn't you hear what I just said? Ban guns.

"...that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion..."
This bit is OK. Sounds like socialism.
"...so help me God."
Who? America needs to separate Church and State.
America needs a new oath.
I agree. Good character is what matters most.
And most people in America are of good character. That's why I like it here.
And it's also why you don't need guns.
Yeah, right, if you think that most Americans are of good character, you couldn't be more wrong. It is like anywhere in the world, of any age, gender, race, or nationality. Some good, some bad. Bad thing is this, Ian, you can't tell by looking at a person who is good at heart or not.
