The Kingdome 1978

I'm the second row, in blue right over the player wearing 53.
There's 24 of us in the first three rows in the early days of othe Kingdome.
This game poster is from the early years of the Seahawks when Jack Pattera was coach.

Here is a nice link to my brothers page on the Seahawks, both before and now.

Argh! a Division Rival!!!!

I'm a longtime Cardinals fan (and apparently a fan of futility).

We were supposed to be good this year but season ending injuiries to half of the teams starters can really put a damper on things.

The Seahawks lost their MVP runnning back in the beginning of the game, and were able to beat a good Washington Redskin team.

It was a nail bitter for a while. Just about to the very end.

Well Terry

Here we are almost game day. I did mention that the seahawks and the panthers would probuly meet in the playoff's. I really didn't think it would be for the NFC dhampionchip. Good luck this sunday.

Sure enough you did mention that way back when. I wasn't looking that far out at the time.
It's pretty cool to be playing a good team like the Panthers for the NFC game.

Terry, I grew up 30 miles outside of Boston and lived there most of my life. I am a die hard Patriots fan. Well since they lost I am rooting for your Seahawks.
Did you know that the Patriots hold the record for loosing a Superbowl by the most points

Hey, at least they were there that to to lose.

I'm hoping that Sunday is good for the Seahawks.
Alexander got his bell rung last time, I hope he's okay.

When my son fell off a roof, I couldn't let him answer phones for a week.

Of course, maybe.........Alexander will run like he's outta his mind.

I will have to give the seahawk fans their due....

At least this game there hasn't been much trash talking. Like it was with the bears, and gaints.

Well, the fans aren't playing anyway. They shouldn't be doing the talking.

I think the Seattle fans respect Carolina.

They respected the other teams too, for that matter.

I've been at games in Seattle when the home crowd would give a standing ovation to a player on the other team.

I remember one Monday night game, when Dan Fouts, who was retired was seen walking on the field before the game.
Even though we had made life miserable for him in his playing days, there he was, not in uniform, but at our game.

Bit by bit, everyone saw him, a respected competitor, and everyone stood and cheered him.

I like to think that's how Seattle is.

Whelp.........there it is......Seahawks against the Steelers. I would like the cinderella team win.....you all haven't had the taste of a super bowl before eh?

I'd like to see the Seahawks take it just because you all haven't been in playoff contention since 86'. Shawn Alexander has roots back here in whittlesticks Ky and since the Steelers played smashmouth football against the Bengals a couple weeks ago......Seahawks need to win!!! Going to be a tough game but make sure your QB wears body armor from the groin down....gotta make sure noone pulls a Carson Palmer on you guys.

Wow!

As many games as I've gone to in the past, and now they've done it.

They are going to the Super Bowl.
Shawn Alexander was running well today, and Matt was throwing well.

I watched the Pittsburg/Broncos game today too.
It should be a good one on the 5th.

There's nothing I would like to see more than the Steelers get kicked around the field and embarrassed in the Super Bowl (die hard Browns fan). However, the Steelers are too big and strong for your Seahawks. Steelers by 14 minimum.

Terry your seahawks play great

I hate they beat the Panthers but if the Panthers were going to lose, I had rather it be to the seahawks. i WILL BE PULLING FOR THEM ON THE FIFTH.
Go Hawks....uh I mean go Panthers.

Steelers will need to bring their lunch.

Rburt5
So........you saying the Steelers are too big and strong for the Seahawks?
The same Seahawks that have only lost three times this year?
The same Seahawks that dismantled Carolina?

I'll have you know, the Seahawks are MEN!

I think they'll take their MVP of the league running back, their top rated passer in the NFC and their dominating defense and have some fun on Super Bowl Sunday.

The Steelers better remember to bring their lunch. It's going to be a long day for them.
