Ian.... I am just wondeirng in your opinion which
country in Europe is gonna bail out of the European Union first...

My money is on Germany
The Euro is probably going to be worthless in a while, and I dont
think the Germans are stupid enough to prop up Greece, Italy, France,
Ireland... so they will get out before it totally sinks their economy too

England is the only country that delayed converting their money to Euros
which was probably the smartest move possible on their part....

I am watching Italy and Spain. They are too big to fail and too big to bail.

My main concern is that if either of their debts become too expensive, they could show the Eagle to the Euro and stop paying their debts and/or leave.

That would be the end of the single currency.

But the big question is whether the US would just sit back and watch? Each would require about $1 trillion to bail and we know you have the cash.

I'm betting American taxpayers would get involved.

I would hope they do.

It's America's responsibility.

Let's hope y'all man enough. You entered World War II a little late so some help sooner would be much appreciated.

We'll pay you back. Like we did last time.

But those ships really were a pile of junk.

We cant pay our teachers, but we'll bail out the Italians where about 20% pay tax. Bully idea.

And it is a pity we built those Brit ships, keeping the queen from learning German at Treblinka. And the king from using a shovel.....And your folks from eating their pet parakeet and cat.

Let the Brits eat tea in the next war.

Where were the great British "seals" asassinating Hitler in 1940? Discussing it over a bit of tea for 5 years?

Ian you are nuts

just because the usa has had to bail out England and support
Germany, France, Italy and the rest of the losers over in Europe
for the past 65 years, does not mean it will or should happen again....

I think the USA did prop up the French frank back in the 60s...

The german people are the only ones carrying their own weight.
... the rest of Europe is basically a bunch of
lazy , good for nothing slobs looking for a free ride .....
especially the French.... with the English bringing up a close second

I say ...let it all go under and just start over...
let the Rothchilds choke on the bad debt
and their failed plans for a new world order...

their is no reason we can or should have anything to do with this mess

and who exactly is going to prop the USA up if we were to help all these
lazy slobs anyway??

Also, have you noticed that GERMANY had almost no growth over the past
quarter, this is not a good sign of things to come

Europe is entitled to American help and should get it with the current crisis, especially if Italy or Spain start to wobble.

We founded you.

We owned you.

America is Europe's backyard.

Italy and Spain can wobble down a sewer. 2/3 of the economy is underground.

America is only Europes experiment in DNA scrambling. And now from the south and east. Judging by what I see in the Wal-mart checkout line, its a dismal failure, and Hitler would have sent them ALL to the left line.

And you didnt 'found' us at all, we came here to get away from our dinner of turnip skins while the king drove by in a gold plated wagon, prime rib dribbling from mouths edge..... And to open all those peculiar churches.

But the plumber must not have been to Europe, because they are not slobs and live like gods next to our suffering. Most have a country house, a 4 day workweek, and can eat from their back alleys pavement.... Unless you are in certain parts of Italy and England.

America is Europe's 401k.

And we'd like to cash it in.

I'm waiting for that American bailout.

It must be coming.

If Europe wants a bailout, it better sprout Nevada, California, Montana and Arizona out of its little overworked, overfarmed, overlogged enclave.

Or wait for the black death to hit again and open up some space.

If America's largest market starts to topple that would spell disaster for US jobs.

Europe is entitled to an American bailout. You have the money. And it makes sense.

I await the announcement and will welcome it warmly when it comes.

I trust in this country's leadership to make the call.

I am in favor of buying Europe from its soon-to-be-appointed bankruptcy trustee at 4 cents on the dollar and using its citizens as migrant workers, which are becoming harder to find here. I would go up to 5 cents on the dollar if all European made internal combustion powered vehicles and the royal family (except Kate, who can return to her native California)were excluded from the deal.

Open the borders!

And to European cars too. In order of reliability, vehicles go something like this: Japanese, European and then the rest.

I put US-made vehciles in the same pile as Chinese and Russian-made ones when it comes to reliability.

That's why you don't find true American-made vehicles in any country except America.

Where exactly is our boarder closed?

Hmm european vehicles. Surely you don't mean anything coming out of England. I own 5 British made MG's and though they are fun to drive, reliability is a huge issue. Lucas, the Prince of darkness

Your border is closed because it is quite difficult to work here legally.

And even if you are here legally you do not get the entitlements of citizens.

So you're taxed but get nothing in return.

As for British sports cars, reliability never was their strong point but driveability was unsurpassed. Our car industry was wiped out from competition from the Japanese.

Unlike yours it did not receive Government handouts because Europe is a market-driven economy.

America is more like Russia in ways it would not like to admit.

Handouts. Overly zealous building codes. No liquor on a Sunday. Where's the freedom?

I'll tell ya. Freedom is in Europe.

Ian, can you ever become King? If you can't, then, not having the right to vote in the elections here should not be a problem for you. Right?

Lucas, the Prince of darkness

I never understood how Lucas could put out such poor wiring and stay in business.

When I worked in a bicycle shop, the owner had previously worked as a engineer for Boeing. He said it was very common in England to pull the heads on a car at 12,000 miles and clean them. His wife used to ride her bike to buy food daily there. They didn't have refrigeration. I think they got quite spoiled here, having refrigerators and cars that ran.

I keep this great big flashlight behind the seats when I drive them at night. I have had to navigate my way home by it several times. Driving with one hand and holding the light with the other.

America is more like Russia in ways it would not like to admit.

America resembles Russia like it does Pakistan. Russia is a confused, violent, lawless and fairness-less mess and always has been. You must not have been there, at least not in the countryside.

And they know how to properly drink, unlike Americans.
