ideally you want to caulk the ferrule into the joint.get you piece of ci.fill joint with oakem leaving about 1 inch.get a couple of bars of 60/40 solder.melt in pot.pour into fittting.hit it in to joint when it cools of.if you are in ny ,you can go to central plumbing,they have all the parts,as a last resort they do have lead wool which will work.just used it 2 days ago in a building where we wwere not able to get a shut down.good luck
