Gap between bottom of p-trap and ceiling?

I am installing a p-trap for my shower and it looks like the bottom of the trap will be touching the drywall celing below it. Do I need a gap for expansion and contraction or is no gap okay?

Should be fine with no problems. You could always groove out the drywall slightly if need be.
