The first weekend in Jully, 2011 was a nice time for crabbing in Puget Sound. I went with friends Tim and Marguerite and went in their boat through the Hiram M. Chittendend Locks into the water just off of Ballard in Seattle. I met them at Stimson Marina and move out in the boat, headed for crabbing.

Coming back, the water from the Sound is lower then Lake Union and Lake Washington.
The boats move in between the "gates", and water is released from the lake into the locks. The water fills and soon we are at the same level as the lake. They open the upper gate and off we go.

When I saw the title, I was wondering who the Dungeness was and what was she crabbing about. I try to keep the wench in the dungeon happy.
