Question about 3 hp submersible well pump

I just removed a submersible well pump (3hp, 3 phase). The pipe was steel sch 40. Can I install the new pump using pvc pipe sch 40 or pvc sch 80? Well is 70' deep

Don't use sch 40 or glue anything down the well. But Sch 80 with metal couplings will work fine. May need 2" for that size pump.

I have never used anything but galv. pipe for a pump of that size. They do make sch 80 2" PVC for that application.

thank you guys, you save me a lot of work because the well is about 20 years old, inside a hole (3'x2'x4') and has a roof on top. is more easy work with sch 80 and no steel. thank you for your help, so helpful
