I recently purchased a new home and believe we have hard water (I've heard hard water is very common in this area). I've had a Culligan representative come to the house and he conducted a "water test" and determined my water was 20 "grains"...

Can anyone recommend a good DIY water testing kit so I can check the representatives results myself?

Thanks In advance,

Bernie

Look for an independent water testing lab in your area to do a thorough water analysis. Did your Culligan rep leave you a copy of the water analysis and quote? If not then don't deal with them. When you get a thorough water analysis come back with the results and we can give you a recommendation.
