Default wiring for deep water submersible pump

We will be installing a water filtration system powered by solar energy. The well is 150' and the distance from the wellhead to the solar/water "building" is 200'. The height of the tower holding the solar panels (4 140 watt panels) is 10'. What gauge wire will we need for that distance and depth?

    Welcome to Terry's Forum Skip,

What voltage will you be using, and what is the current needed for your water filtration system ?

Them items would be nice to know, so that you could get a better answer.

    Have a great day.

So, the wire run is 350 feet to the pump. Unfortunately you failed to provide any info on the pump. The info on the solar is not needed.

Also you need to know amp load and hp.Then go to the chart as stated above.

GPM does NOT give use the amperage load. Three wire should mean two hots and a ground, but could be two hots and a capacitor start wire, but NOT three phase.

One of the three wires on a 230V single phase system is probably protection ground. Capacitor start should be four wires. Three phase should be 208V and need more conductors.

Exactly which is why we would have to know WHAT the third wire is, since if it IS a ground it is irrelevent to the discussion. And I have seen MANY 240 three phase systems.
