Howdy All,

I just installed my water softener and I have a few questions I can't seem to figure out.

My specs:
Fleck 7000 SXT
Hardness: 10 Total (iron and manganese included)
Resin: 1.25 Cubic Foot of standard resin (which is good for 40K, I believe)
5 People in our home

My current settings:

DF Gal
VT dF2b
CT Fd
C 30x1000
H 10
RS SF
SF 20
DO 14
RT 2:00
B1 10
BD 60
B2 5
RR 10
BF 25
FM t1.2

1) The salt dosage thing, I don't know how much to keep in the brine tank.

2) Goes with number 1, brine fill timing. My valve says it has a BLFC of .125 GPM, but I think I need to know the salt dosage first, right?

3) Settings for best efficiency?

Thanks a million!
Brian

I'm just trying to understand the salt dosage component to water softening and make sure I am getting the most out of the unit.

I've seen some great input here and thought I might glean some insight from the experience.
