The easiest is a riser with preformed end for faucet or ballcock. If you don't use premade risers, you have to have a special beading tool to make a ridge on the the copper so the flat washer and nut will retain the copper and not allow it to pull out of the fitting. The cone washer alone seals well, but is not a tight enough grip tp prevent pull-out.

I used cp copper tubes with the flat plastic washer but that was brass to brass.Brass nuts to brass fill valve.
