A recent issue has me wondering "Open a Tap or do closed ?"

When adjusting the PRV do you adjust it

A. Open - with the downstream taps open ?
B. Closed, reading the gauge, then run a tap and retest or readjust ?

Thanks

You make some turns on the screw with water running, but then you run some water to allow the springs/diaphragms/carrtridge to 'settle in'. Then turn the tap OFF again and confrim the static pressure. If it is still not what you want, repeat. But it is ultimately the STATIC pressure which the device can control.
