Cracked Tub

While installing my overflow drain I cracked my acrylic tub. The crack is about 3/4" long up around the overflow hole. Is there any hope of fixing this? Would calling Kohler be a viable repair option?

The washer that seals the overflow is often tapered to allow you to get it parallel with the wall of the tub. If it is not nice an straight, and you tighten things down too much, this could be why it cracked. Some drain systems have a flex joint that allow a flat washer.
