Most driven wells last from 20 to 40 years. It could be a hole in the suction pipe below the water line but I doubt it. It's not the pump.

I installed the well forty years ago and it has worked well until the last of 2010. The pump is a Sears 390-4100 model.
Now it will pump a reasonable flow for awhile then change to a dribble. Is this a problem that could be in the pump? Or is the likely reason water supply is drying up? I have back flushed it several times and the water goes right through it.
I wouldn't mind replacing the thing if I knew I still had water.
BTW, the pipes go down about fifty ft or lower. The pipe is 1 1/4".
Thanks for your help in advance.
