How do you have a $ 3 million house and have a hack job on a water heater which burns down the house?
I imagine an insurance company is trying to attatch a name to this situation. ( From today's San Diego Union Tribune:
San Diego Fire-Rescue Department reported that Thursday’s fire at a home on the 1100 block of Van Nuys is a $4.5 million loss—$3 million in structural damages and a $1.5 million loss of contents, which included two classic cars in the garage. No one was injured in the fire. The home is on the border between La Jolla and Pacific Beach.
Maurice Luque, an information officer for San Diego Fire-Rescue, said the cause of the fire was accidental. He said a water heater ignited gasoline fumes from a garage-stored vehicle. The water heater was not on a raised pedestal as required by building code, according to officials.
