    Default Dirty Water

Here's the scenario. I have been trying to resolve my water turning brown after heavy rains. I had the well tested during one such event and the only items above the national standards were aluminum, iron, hardness, and turbidity. I installed a 25 micron filter and UV light. The results were unchanged. I pulled the 25 micron filter and replaced it with a 1 micron filter. Still no luck. I find it interesting that I would still be getting dirty water through a 1 micron filter. What's next?

Perhaps a .5 micron filter bank, and a 20, 5, and 1 in front of it.
