Awesome forum.

Hope you guys could help me out. I’m trying to help out a friend with setting up his dwv setup in his bathroom and was hoping you could point me in the right direction. Here are a couple of pics that I took. Which one would be the correct setup? Please, if we’re totally off, let us know which way is correct

There could be several "correct" ways to do it, you just picked two that were not. One of the biggest corrections is that you cannot have the toilet flowing past the shower connection, unless you have a vent between the shower trap and the 3" connection. Other items, such as how you vent the toilet would depend on how lenient the inspector was that day, but most would not allow the vent to continue horizontally after the toilet opening.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas.

I think I got it this time.

How about this setup.

We are planning on moving the 3' main from the left side to the right side.

I hope the picture makes sense.

Thanks.....

Is the circle where the water closet will go? At the end of your 2" line your lavatory with a a branch off to pick up the shower?

That's how I see it and if those answers are yes then your system will work.

I cannot follow the stick drawing but if that picture is followed the way you have the fittings laid out, in about 1 to 3 years the vents are going to seal up since you are flat venting under 42". Not acceptable. Groundwork when it comes to plumbing is crucial, otherwise the alternative is years of drain problems........

looks right. imo. make sure to roll your your vents upward. p trap for shower must be glue type. when connecting vents pitch upward and increase pipe size thru roof.

Here's a view of the vents going up the wall.
Hope this one makes sense.
