Villeroy-Boch Washdown WC
I recently saw an unusual and interesting looking toilet in a magazine. Here is a link to it:

http://www.villeroy-boch.com/index.php?id=88&C=US&L=en&user_serie=Pure+Stone&user_kollektion=98.6423.0.1&user_artikelid=110.6423.0.1&user_erstezeile=0

According to the magazine, it is priced in the $1500 - $2000 range.

I am totally unfamiliar with this company. Does anyone know 1) whether it works well (does it flush OK?); and 2) where might one find it?

I assume that Toto doesn't have anything that looks quite like this. Correct me, please, if I am mistaken.

Thank you.

Yeah, it sort of grabbed my wife's attention and she showed it to me.

They call it a stone, as in a rounded, water-worn rock. To me it looks more like an egg.

We're putting in a new bathroom and we're tempted. But, even though it may be the coolest looking toilet in the known universe, "it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that ... flush."

I know Villeroy & Boch is known for its dinnerware. I have seen some ceramic tile they put out as well. Everything they make is high end.

I looked at the drawing at the Villeroy & Boch site to see how it is mounted and what is required behind it (in the wall).

They only had what looked like a template for the wall.

Are wall mount toilets pretty much the same behind the wall? How would it work "behind the scenes"? Is there a tank inside the wall? If so, does a wall mount toilet require a thicker wall than a common 2 x 4 wall?

Thank you.

ladies like the darndest things

doesent it just amaze you how a lady
can go to the hardware store and pick out the
prettiest piece of junk in the show room???

its like they are magnetically drawn to it.

they you got to gamble on wether it is
really a good product and worth the money or not

around here they will always pick
a crummey Price Fister faucet
for usually more money than something better in Delta!!

I always tell them to take it back and get the delta

ugh

That stuff is made to sell I guess..........
Wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.
Parts may be hard to find and may be very expensive.
Get someone else to try it first.
Go figure...........
