why 3 different size psi switches?

20/40,30/50 & 40/60? Gould precharge on all its tanks are 38psi meaning a 40/60 switch and I suppose if using a 30/50 you would have to drain precharge down to 28psi correct?

I wonder what I had, prolly a 20/40 which I have set to 58 so if renewing w/new tank then probably a 30/50 as suggested before? Is my pump effected in any way? I have a gould10.
