It might not be the best idea you ever had. Aluminum can deteriorate and it is softer than brass so it can bend or break easier.

can i use threaded aluminum pipe for say a 12 inch piece of pipe to the shower head?
the standard 8 in 45 degree they give u is shooting the water out of the tub so i wanted to make a sharper bend on a longer nipple to adjust it,
they had something at the plumbing supply that would work but it was 50 bucks!
i am open to other ideas!

Any problem in plumbing can be solved by applying the appropriate amount of cubic dollars.
Even if you find aluminum pipe with the correct threads, I don't think it is all that easy to bend! And the soft threads will probably leak!
hehe i am electrician and we thread and bend thick walled aluminum pipe so i figured what the hey!
anyway i found a satin nickel one for like 40 bucks shipped thanx for input
