My wife and I are planning to partially recess an above ground spa below ground. The manufacturer states this is an allowable installation technique as long as a sump pump is installed in the pit to pump out rain accumulation, runoff, etc.

Does anyone have a recomendation for an inexpensive sump pump that is reliable and somewhat long lasting? This thing will probably only run during severe rain events and/or when I drained some water out of the spa.

Thanks!

You can buy cheap or you can buy good, but you will have to pick one or the other.

Many of us like Zoeller pumps.
