Pipe size for pipe to water tank.

Hi folks-

I'm doing my underground, and plan to run 250 ft of 200psi HDPE 1" pipe from the area where the well will be to a water tank, vertical rise of 40-50 feet max. Is 1" pipe large enough? I don't need a high flow rate pump.

If you then draw water out of this tank to feed the house, I'd say 1" is fine.
