Hello. My brand new (electric) water heater has began to "whistle" at times. Even with no hot water being used or any hot water used for awhile. Doesn't whistle constantly. Rather will for several minutes and then stop for sometime. Whistle is fairly loud, can be heard around house. Whistle is definately coming from water heater. There are no leaks, no water movement.
Background:
New hot water heater (80 gal), installed two weeks ago (Whirlpool).
Thermostat at factory setting (120)
Had a new deep well installed a week ago
Also installed water softner with new well.
Water pressure 40psi low - 60psi high.
This water heater didn't started "whistling" until two days ago.
Old water heater lasted 30 years, but died two weeks ago.
Other than whistle, appears to be supplying hot water with no problem. But would like to deter any problems before they become issues.
I wouldn't imagine there would be any element issues after just two weeks? Any suggestions/ideas are greatly appreciated.
Thank You
