Default Which cities in Canada have the "No Plastic" shower drain codes?

I was wondering what cities in Canada have regulations against using Plastic Shower drains (ABS or PVC)?

I have looked through the 2005 National Plumbing Code have not found any mention of this. My thoughts are it must be some sort of "Fire Code Regulation" and not a "Plumbing Regulation".

    Any ideas men?

Here in Vancouver I have many Cast Iron Compression Drains that I use with my channel drain installations and the channel drain from Quick Drain USA is all Stainless Steel. I cleaned out my supplier yesterday and am looking for a new "Metal Compression" drain.

I'm guessing that the Kerdi drain is not allowed in any of these Canadian cities with this special regulation...

    Thanks for any help.

So far the best compression drain I can source that is not made from PVC or ABS is a "Watts - Baby Blue". I was told today that Zurn might make a version as well. The boys down at EMCO told me today that a few inspectors in Richmond, B.C. are quite particular about the use of metal shower drains in commercial work.

    Any Zurn experts here?
