Hello All

This Comfort maker furnace is about 10 years old.

All four burners will not ignite at the same time. The start up looks good until burner ignition. The first burner ignites because it is close to the igniter, and the second burner also ignites. But the third and fourth burners usually takes 10 to 30 seconds longer to ignite. The flame just doesn't cross the gap quickly.

I have no idea what the problem is. Mechanical defect in the burner apparatus? It doesn't appear to be a draft problem or gas pressure problem. Once all 4 burners are ignited the four flames look the same.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I have to wonder where all that unignited gas is going.
Do you have
"a concussive type ignition which is both frightening and often dangerous"?

"Step 1 - Clear the Ignition Ports
Ignition ports are tiny holes embedded in the exposed side of the burners. The restriction of these ports is the root cause for a delay. Clean the ignition ports with the sewing needle. Ensure that you do not increase the size of the ignition holes as this will further aggravate the problem."

Maybe soaking them in some kind of a solvent will also work.

Get the unit properly cleaned, it sounds like the pass over ports are plugged up
