Default Cost to extend gas line in garage?

I have a newer home built in 2001. The garage is insulated and there is an existing natural gas line coming into the garage from the house. It is about 3 " from the ceiling, comes through the wall about 5" and is capped. I want to tap into this line and add a ventless heater for occasional use during the winter.

I won't be using it for more than a couple hours at a time. Regardless, from the capped line i want to run horizontally about 8' and then down the wall another 6' to where the ventless wall heater will be. What should I expect to pay for this job?

Seems like it would be fairly easy and tempted to do it myself depending on the cost. Again, this line was stuck out into the garage when the house was built for this very intention. I just want to hook something up to it. I have a natural gas hot water heater and furnace as well. I assume the only thing that will need relit is the water heater.

Not all WH have a standing pilot, so you may not even need to relight it. To do this, in most places, you need to pull a permit. Some places, the homeowner can do it, so me, he can't. Personally, I don't particularly like ventless units. I'd consider a vented one. Labor costs vary so much from one area to another, it's hard to say what the total cost would be.
