Just installed a new Promenade. The Model No. on the box is C424EF, but from Toto's website, it more closely matches this:

I had actually sent wife to pick up a Drake from this store:

But she liked the look and style of the Promenade, so we went with it. Great store, by the way, for anyone in the Connecticut area. I'm never going back to Lowes for anything plumbing-related.

I followed these directions:
https://terrylove.com/forums/showth...oto-Drake-CST744-or-CST454CEFG-2-piece-toilet

in addition to the manufacturer's manual.

I definitely agree with sanding on the inside of the tank -- I reached down with my finger and the manufacturer's finish is quite rough down there. About half a minute of light sanding and it's smooth and ready to seal.

And everything else went swimmingly smooth. Love the toilet, great flush, no leaks. Nothing more to say, really, I just wanted to share a positive experience.

Cheers.

Thank you for the review. I'm getting the c424sfg.

What do you mean about sanding the inside of the tank?

Read Terry's installation instructions. While not absolutely necessary, if you lightly sand the porcelain where the tank bolt goes, the smooth surface makes it easier on the gasket to seal. only takes a moment, and is good insurance.
