I am having a problem with my irrigation system not working. The pump seems to run ok but none of the zones are working. The water for the system is taken from a lake and is fed via a 2 inch PVC pipe.
The system is about 15 years old and the pump has been replaced once as has the timer. This is the first time I am not getting any water through the system.
Could this be a problem with the prime being lost? I have a facet on the pump that I can attach a hose to, can this be used to re-prime the pump so to speak?
The only other thought is that the intake pipe could be clogged, woulkd that give the same symptoms? The pump runs and seems ok but I am not sure what to check.
