If you are in the sewer cleaning business, here is the glove I use to run machines. Someone told me they sell gloves like this to peel potatoes with also.

I like the non cuffed glove better. I push the cable in with my left hand. Eventually a hole will wear between the thumb and forefinger. They work good on a greasy cable in kitchen drains.

I use plain "coarse" leather gloves and work the cable with my palm.
