    Default Toilet drain - trap or no trap?

    Regarding my new toilet drain, do I need to have a trap just below the toilet or is a trap not needed at all?

    Default toilet

    The toilet is designed with an internal trap.
    A trap is a water seal and that's why you see water in the toilet.
