I'm remodeling my bathroom and need to run a tub drain and vent but am not sure how to do it because there is a floor joist in the way which wasn't there originally. I'd rather not drill through the joist if I don't have to.
The blue piece of tape on the OSB is where the drain will go and in the other photo where the tape is on the joist is where the tub drain will come down but on the other side.
original drain and vent, tub is to the right
not enough room in the wall to extend the vent pipe over
basement-- sink drain and soil pipe to the right, blue tape is where the drain will come down but on the other side of the joist
blue tape is about where the tub drain will go
