Cleaning under a Toto Aquia?

I had a Toto Aquia installed last year. So far I'm happy with it, but I've realized that my son... well, his aim leaves a lot to be desired. Urine ends up on and under the hinge part of the toilet seat, and I'm concerned that it might leak down onto the floor, behind the skirt, where I can't do anything about it.

Can urine drip down there? Should I be concerned? I haven't taken the toilet seat off yet because I'm worried that by loosening the screws I'll make it easier for future urine to drip down.
