In 2006 Life Styles Inc came by to show me some vented toilets from Oregon.
He came with his trailer and some product to demonstrate.
He had the nifty idea of pulling air from the rim holes around the top of the bowl, and venting outside through a piping system.

Here is the remote fan motor. It could be vented through the roof or side wall.

Below he is using a fog machine to demonstrate the suction and venting of the bowl.
He fills the bowl with smoke, and then vents it away.

Below is a picture of the bowl without the tank installed showing the hookup behind, to a pipe in the wall.
To the right on the photo, are switches that would be in other bathrooms.
You could run all of the bathrooms using one fan.

Here is a little better closeup of the flex connector at the back of the bowl.
The pipe is installed in the wall, centered behind the bowl.
Then the drywall is cut, the pipe found, and the adapter glued on with the flex connector.
