Pound for pound, what is the best material for a drainage system? Cast iron, Copper, PVC, steel, ceramic??

Longest lasting, most durable, etc..

What do y'all think?

Each material has it's pro's and con's some are better suited to conditions than others. PVC would on the face of it seem the ideal choice, except when plumbing high rise buildings and buildings where noise is an issue.
