Hi, I am new here.......... I am looking for an oil fired hot water boiler... Are there any boilers that I should stay away from? A local plumber reccomended a Weil Mclain Gold Series with a Carlin EZ Gun. He also reccomended a Well Mclain Indirect Hot Water Heater. Does this sound like a good setup? Thanks

Yes, it is a good boiler and oil burner combination. Weil has been around for many years, with a very solid reputation. That said, though, I would look into a Buderus with a Rielleo oil burner. It will be quieter, and more efficient.
