I'm sure this is a dead horse but I'm not positive what to do about it. Kitchen sink started backing up after a load of hand washed dishes (not during but after).

Running the garbage disposal allowed the sink to drain but water kept coming back up for several iterations of dispose/drain. Finally the water went down and stayed down but food scraps and soap came up in the utility sink in the adjacent laundry room.

What's my course of action here?

Thanks very much

It's pretty obvious that you have a clogged drain. What is needed is a professional plumber that can auger the line. Please do not use chemicals in an attempt to clear the clog. Despite the TV commercials, these do not work and will create a hazard for yourself and the plumber you eventually will have to call. Don't know about the squirrels:confused:
