We are trying to install a 3 peice Lasko fiberglass shower unit. We have tried several times to put the basin in the alcove, but we can't hold it perfectly level so it keeps getting stuck on the studs (the walls are plumb and the measurements say it should fit). Are there any tricks or tools that will help us to set the basin in place - maybe a way to temporarily widen the alcove or ensure that we don't crack the fiberglass when we force it in?

Thanks,
Brandi

Are you talking about the base ? Is it an entire one piece unit ? Can't help w/o more info.

Unless you can hold it perfectly level it is not going to fit. If the alcove is the correct size, then you have to figure out how to slide the unit into place.

The 3 pieces need to be bolted together then the unit installed as one into the alcove. You mentioned you tried just the basin, did you mean the base?
