I have seen one like it, but cannot think of the brand. A picture of the removed cartridge, especially the bottom of it might help.

Can someone help me identify this?
The cartridge is failing and I'd prefer to change that before replacing the whole unit.
There isn't a number or a word anywhere on it.
Thanks!

A kohler with no name on the escutcheon? I suspect Glacier Bay or ProFlo
Looks like a Gerber.
This is a gerber looks close yours might be an older version.

A plastic cartridge would be a NEWER model, and this one has a square handle stem. THe part we can see is too generic to determine the manufacturer.
Thanks to all for looking...
I'll dissassemble and take pics of the innards and repost![]()
I have pics of the innards...unfortunately not one of the back of the cartridge's grey shell...the two openings at the rear are shaped like D's on their side if that helps...
fingers are crossed for an id or else i'll be shelling out $400 for a replacement unit....what a drag over a $6 part !!!
thanks in advance for any assistance![]()
I still say it looks like Kohler. Go see Dupont Plumbing Supplies on Eglinton and Caledonia. Talk to Wally. Take that part with you. He will be able to tell you
I think it looks a little like a Belenger (spelling)
I could be wrong cause I haven't worked on a lot of them and it's been awhile since I have.
