How close can PVC and copper be?

Quick question.... I gutted my bathroom, and changed the layout. I have a 2 inch PVC and a copper pipe for my baseboard heater. How close can they be?

I doubt that the copper pipe would get hot enough to melt the PVC, but to be safe I would say no closer than a couple-few inches. You could throw some insulation around the pipes to further isolate them.
