I have a Goodman with a bad door switch. It only runs when the panel is actually off. To my surprise the local parts places don't have the switch in stock and won't have them for a few days.

It's been surprising cold here in MA the last few days, so I need heat and was thinking of jumping the door switch til I get the new part.

Does anyone know how to do this or suggestions on this?

It is dangerous to operate a furnace with the panel cover off. CO problems. That is why they have a switch on the door.

Jumper the switch with a short piece of stranded cord from a lamp cord or use a paper clip, and securely fasten the panel back on until you get the part.
It's a safety interlock switch, right?

Hey, wait a minute.
