copper corrosion

My copper supply line (after the pressure tank and filter but before the water softener) has rusted. It appears to be corroding at the point where it is attached to the ceiling with a saddle bracket (also copper, but has a galvanized nail holding it up.) What is causing this?

The saddle bracket is probably copper coated steel. Remove it, clean up the pipe, and replace it with a non-metallic strap.
